If a valve needs removing to get a patch underneath it, it comes off, if a wear patch looks better replaced, so be it. THIS NORTH RHINO II 07 HAD A LEADING EDGE BURST DESTRYOING THE BLADDER. THE BLADDER WAS REMOVED AND REPAIRED, LEADING EDGE REPAIRED AND BLADDER RE FITTED.
NEED A KITE REPAIR? WE ARE THE KIDDIES! IN AUGUST 2010 WE TRIPPLED THE SIZE OF THE SHOP AND INTEGRATED THE KITE REPAIR CENTRE WITHIN IT. WHY? MANY PEOPLE ADVERTISE KITE REPAIRS AND ACTUALLY FARM THE WORK OUT TO OTHER REPAIR CENTRES. WHAT BETTER WAY TO SHOW WE DO OUR OWN KITE REPAIRS THAN TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR IN THE SHOP IN FULL VIEW!
WE HAVE THREE MACHINES AND PLENTY OF REPAIR STOCK. WE HOLD 20 DIFFERENT COLOURS OF RIP STOP NYLON AND FOUR COLOURS OF DACRON TO GET THE CLOSEST MATCH POSSIBLE TO YOUR EXISTING KITE.
WE CAN DO CANOPY RIPS NO MATTER HOW BAD, BURST LEADING EDGES, RIPS TO EDGES, REPAIRS TO BLADDERS AND VALVES, REPLACEMENT VALVES AND BUILD UP NEW BLADDERS. FOR POWER KITES WE CAN DO RIPS AND TEARS, REPLACE CELLS AND MAKE UP NEW BRIDAL LINES.
WE HAVE BUILT A VERY GOOD REPUTATION FOR OUR KITE REPAIRS BY OFFERING A GOOD SERVICE WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
THE TOP TWO PHOTOS SHOW A SLINGSHOT RPM THAT HAD THE MIDDLE STRUTT RIPPED OFF DAMAGING THE LEADING EDGE ALL AROUND IT. I HAD TO REMOVE THE STRUTT TOTALLY AND PATCH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FOR STRENGTH. SEW BACK THE STRUTT AND PRESSURE TEST.
THE BOTTOM TWO PHOTOS SHOW THE KITE ALL REPAIRED AND READY TO FLY AGAIN. YOU CAN JUST SEE THE BLACK STITCHING OUTLINING THE NEW EXTERNAL PATCH. THE INTERNAL PATCH IS HIDDEN BUT PROVIDES THE MUCH NEEDED STRENGTH TO THE REPAIR.
We can repair all land and water based kites whether they are LEI's, foils, twin skins, arc's or even whinnie the poo single line kites! If it is broken we can usually fix it.
For the land based kites like foils and twin skins we can replace blown cells, rips in the outer skin of the kite, sew back ripped out bridals and even make up and replace bridals. For the water based LEI style kites we can do canopy rips, exploded leading edges, replace bridals, make and replace bladders, replace valves and one pump systems and repair struts. These are the most common repairs we get in but as we said, if it's broken we can usually fix it...
