ABOUT US

Taken in June 2009. The photo beside shows our premises shared with A A Engineering. A A Engineering occupies the whole of the left hand side and Kitemare the right. The Garador sign is presently on the area dedicated to the Kitemare Shop. The green door is being replaced with a shop front door complete with good security shutter! The shop will occupy the ground floor area here and the kite workshop is already established above it. 1st March 2010 is our opening day....Come and have a look.

...june 2009...

Taken in April 2011...What a difference! Kitemare Company has taken over the whole of the building when A A Engineering failed to keep alive during the recession. The shop area now covers the entire ground floor and has the kite repair centre incorporated within it. Upstairs we have a printing room and kite drying area, dedicated secure stock area, kite pressure testing room and soon to be bladder manufacture room (once we have picked up our new welder and bladder material very soon).
We are now looking at importing a kite brand into the UK and a board too. With the whole premises we have the space to be able to do this.
Jobs left to do is to clad the front of the building to get rid of the horrible green wood and generally tidy the yard area.

...arril 2011...

We are growing at an incredible rate as can be seen above. The outside needs some work but inside we have got it right! The two photos above show the shop and repair centre with me working hard! You will also notice "Misfit", the shop dog doing what she does best....Sleeping!
We stock Airush and Slingshot LEI kites and are honest on our purchasing sites to our stock levels. If you order a kite as so many already have, you will get it quickly. We have a good range of PKD land kites and some Brookite toy kites for our younger clients and potential kitesurfers of the future! We have Scrub mountain/land boards and safety gear to go with these. Kite boards in both twin tip and surfboard style from Airush, Slingshot and F-One and tons of other stuff too.
For the Skateboarder we stock Element and fracture products and hold decks, trucks, bearings, grip tape, bolts and risers etc. For the scooter riders we have scooters to cruise around and those strong enough for the skate parks. We stock Madd, Grit, Slamm and Micro scooters. We have two walls full of parts to customize your scooters including handle bars, decks, brakes, wheels, bolts, bearings etc.

We are still not happy though! We have plans for a new counter with surf style shack in the shop (hopefully with hula girls and grass skirts, or just Danny and myself!), extra scooter display area and whole new range of soft goods including clothes and shoes.
We are driven people and want to make this the best kite/scooter/skate shop in the country and enjoy the challanges this brings.
